  • Misclassification of diagnosis is common: Unabomber, Anders Breivik, and John Hinckley, Jr. were all diagnosed with “schizophrenia.” Dr. Rahman believes that they were driven by extreme overvalued beliefs.
  • Obsession, delusion and extreme overvalued belief are cognitive drivers of psychopathology and are often misused as motives seen in acts of violence
